dc.description.abstract | In this paper I reflect upon the nature of making within my own practice, with specific reference to intrapersonal conversations (Bolt) and those with materials. The nature of flow as suggested by Csikszentmihalyi, in the process, when presencing (Heidegger) a concrete artefact into bronze via material thinking is discussed. Some reference is made to cultural overlays (personal and external) that sit within the evolving of a work, and the legacy of which inhabits it (Margetts), long after making has ceased. | |
