Abstract
The article "Tainted Images: Materialising Unnatural Media" reflects on Susan Schuppli's "Not Planet Earth" (2021); Fiona Amundsen’s "Blowing in the Wind" (2023- 2025); Amos Gebhardt's "In Memory of Stars (2023); Kate van der Drift’s "Soundings" and Gaurav Jai Gupta ’s textile installation Kaalchakra (2017–ongoing) - suggesting that the aberrant artwork operates on multiple registers to unsettle ossified Western thinking and destructive human behaviours.
