Abstract
This practice-led research and design project examines Jewish diasporic histories retold through food and cuisine. It employs illustration, motif, mapping and colour symbolism to create an environment akin to a Jewish home on Shabbat evening simultaneously commenting on serious topics to develop these ideas within the confinements of publication format. This project aims to develop a deeper level of awareness and understanding of the Jewish people amongst non-Jewish audiences, and other Jewish groups among Jewish audiences, bringing together these important conversations through food.
