Abstract
Executive Summary Since 2007, the World Internet Project New Zealand (WIPNZ) has surveyed New Zealanders every two years to track their usage of the internet and its impact on their lives. Survey responses were gathered both by telephone interview and online in 2013, while the first three waves of the survey used telephone interviews alone. Between 2007 and 2013, around 6000 surveys have been completed. This report reviews changes over the period 2007–2013, reporting key trends and investigating how internet usage and its effects vary across major social groupings. The aggregated results are expanded upon using a series of vignettes which describe the experiences of individuals, delving into a cohort of respondents who have participated in all four rounds of the survey.Description
