Abstract

Mallory Best and the Curse of Lupa, acts as the first novel in YA fantasy penatology which answers the question: What would happen if a teenage girl accidentally unleashed a collection of ancient and deadly curses on her town? Exegesis: Into the Archives explores how MBATCOL’s function as the first book in a series influences the writing process and the considerations that had to be made throughout its creation.
