dc.description.abstract	Blood and Water is a young adult fantasy novel, written in first person and present tense. It follows two tandem narratives, features time jumps and is based in a fictional world. The specific target audience for the novel are females ages between 15-20. The exegesis explores choices made by the author to surprise and engage readers, through the utilisation and subversion of archetypes and stereotypes prevalent in the market.	en_NZ
