Technology acceptance studies are an effective way of gauging future system use and developing a robust system. In the area of e-learning numerous technology acceptance studies exist. However, rarely research works have studied acceptance of e -assessment. The purpose of this study is to develop a first of its kind of model that can predict a university lecturer’s intention to use e-assessment. The proposed model uses Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a foundation and compliments it with relevant constructs from appropriate acceptance models like Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), Technology Acceptance Model -2 (TAM-2), Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (UTAUT). A construct relating to Experience has also been used. Data was collected from 52 lecturers at a public university in Malaysia. Partial Least Squares was used to test the hypothesised model. The model can explain approximately 52% of lecturer’s e-assessment acceptance.en_NZ
