dc.description.abstractWith the development of the Internet,e-commerce enterprises spring up like the mushrooms.To a large extent, it depends on the knowledge workers who possess the three knowledge management systems——IT technology, network management technology and industry.The current study surveyed major studies on the characteristics of and motivating factors for e-commerce enterprises’ knowledge workers, both in the USA and in China. Comparisons were made between studies in the two countries, and new perspectives were offered on the motivating factors for knowledge workers. Future research directions were proposed.en_NZ
