Abstract
The Saudi Arabian Government has recognised the need for an alternative path to national development in the form of a knowledge-based economy. It is important to understand the socio- technical enablers in knowledge based economy initiative, particularly with regard to the phenomenon of knowledge sharing. A conceptual model developed in the study contains four construct domains: socio-technical enablers; Diffusion of Innovation dimensions; knowledge sharing processes; and organizational innovation capability to examine depicts the relationships between the enablers, processes and outcome constructs within Saudi Arabia firms.
