Abstract

From the Executive Summary: This national evaluation report presents findings from the Violence Intervention Programme (VIP) across Aotearoa New Zealand’s health system from 2020 to 2024. The evaluation draws on qualitative interviews, infrastructure audits, site visits, and clinical audit data to assess the health sector’s response to intimate partner violence against women and child abuse and neglect for children under two years of age, with a particular focus on equity for Māori.
