| dc.description.abstract | This thesis consists of two components, a written exegesis as the theoretical backbone and a practical component which is a mixed media animated short film influenced by my experiences with Financial Privilege. Through the material of the New Zealand banknote, the viewer is navigated through my upbringing – my ambitious childhood dreams, my adult realisation that my life was fundamentally easier because of monetary advantage, and the steps I have taken to become more aware of economic privilege. This project aims to raise more awareness on this perspective by utilising an autoethnographic lens and the mediums of Visual Effects (VFX), Motion Graphics and Stop Motion. | en_NZ |
