It was the first time that an AUT survey asked specific questions to access information about the university experience of the Rainbow student community. The survey invited participation from AUT students who identified within the spectrum of Rainbow/LGBTIQ+ identities (including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, takatāpui, queer and other gender and sexuality identities). The survey was designed to include students who were 'out' and those who were not.© The authors, 2021.
