Abstract

Little Bird is an 91 page, feature-length screenplay, small-town crime drama based around a local family. The story focuses on Lexie, 20, who believes she has shot and killed a local woman, Jules, during the town’s annual pig hunting competition. But when Jules’ body goes missing, Lexie’s memory of events are questions by her family, the locals, and herself. However, Lexie’s self-doubt does not stop her unwavering need to take responsibility for Jules’ death, and find the body. Lexie’s biggest challenge arises when she discovers that those closest to her are the very people responsible for Jules’ disappearance and death.
